Center Airbag Sensor

1.

Disable airbag system, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems)/Service and Repair.

2.

Remove instrument panel No. 1 lower cover, Fig. 68.

3.

Remove instrument center cluster finish panel.

4.

Remove center console box.

5.

Disconnect sensor electrical connector.

6.

Remove sensor attaching screws, then remove.

7.

Reverse to install. Torque sensor attaching Torx screws to 9 ft. lbs. Ensure electrical connector is connected only when sensor has been installed
and tightened to specifications.
