4. Install four new insulators and the two spacers in position on the cylinder head.
5. Place the injectors, together with the fuel rail in position on the cylinder head.
6. Temporarily install the two bolts holding the delivery pipe to the cylinder head.
7. Check that the injectors rotate left to right smoothly.  If the injectors do not rotate smoothly the most probable cause is incorrect installation of the

O-rings.  Replace the O-rings and repeat installation.

8. Position the injector electrical connectors upward.
9. Tighten the two bolts holding the fuel rail to the cylinder head.  Torque the bolts to 9 ft.lbs (13 Nm).

10. Connect the fuel return hose.
11. Using new gaskets, connect the fuel inlet pipe to the delivery pipe and the fuel pulsation damper.  Torque the fuel pulsation damper to 25 ft.lbs (34

Nm).

12. Connect the injector electrical connectors.
13. Using a new gasket, install the intake manifold with the six bolts and two nuts.  Uniformly tighten the bolts and nuts in several passes.  Torque the

bolts and nuts to 14 ft.lbs (19 Nm).

14. Install the No.1 air intake chamber and manifold stays, wire bracket (California model only) with the four bolts.  Torque the 12mm bolts to 16

ft.lbs (22 Nm) and the 14mm bolts to 31 ft.lbs (42 Nm).

15. Connect the two wire clamps to the wire brackets on the intake manifold.
16. Connect the engine wire harness with the wire clamp and bolt.
17. Connect the knock sensor and EGR VSV electrical connectors.
18. Connect the two engine wire ground straps to the intake manifold.
19. On A/C equipped models connect the A/C magnet switch VSV connector.
20. Connect the vacuum sensor hose to the air intake chamber
21. Connect the brake booster vacuum hose to the air intake chamber
22. Connect the vacuum sensing hose
23. Install the EGR valve and vacuum modulator:

a. Using a new gasket, install the EGR valve with the union nut and two mount nuts.  Torque the union nut to 43 ft.lbs (59 Nm), torque the

mount nuts to 9 ft.lbs (13 Nm)

b. Install the EGR modulator to the clamp
c. Connect the vacuum hose clamp
d. Connect the vacuum hose to the charcoal canister
e. Connect the vacuum hose from the EGR valve to the E port of the EGR VSV
f.

Connect the vacuum hose from the Q port of the EGR vacuum modulator to the G port of the EGR VSV

g. On California models, connect the EGR gas temperature sensor electrical connector

24. Connect the two vacuum hoses to the EVAP BVSV.
25. Connect the PS vacuum hoses.
26. Install the throttle body. 
27. Refill the engine with coolant.
28. Connect the negative battery cable.
