On 161 series, disconnect driveshaft from steering knuckle, then using tool No. 09950-20016 or equivalent, pull axle hub from driveshaft. Remove
driveshaft.

On 162 series, place a mark in a convenient spot on driveshaft, then measure and note distance between transaxle case and spot marked. Using tool
No. 09520-32060, remove LH driveshaft.

On 162 series, using tool No. 09950-20016, pull axle hub from driveshaft. Disconnect RH driveshaft from steering knuckle, then remove snap ring
and pull out RH and center driveshafts.

10.

On 161 series, drain transmission fluid or differential oil, then remove snap ring and center driveshaft.

Reverse procedures to install. Torque lower arm to steering knuckle to 94 ft. lbs. Torque tie rod end to steering knuckle nut to 36 ft. lbs. Torque
bearing locknut while depressing brake pedal to 137 ft. lbs. Torque 6 front driveshaft to differential side shaft or center shaft to 27 ft. lbs.
