Refilling Cooling System

1.

Pour coolant into the radiator slowly to allow air to escape.

Note:

When the radiator is full, install the radiator cap (w/o pressure relief valve).

2.

Pour coolant into reservoir tank to the level of the upper sight glass, until the coolant level does not fall.

3.

Warm up the engine and confirm that coolant level does not fall.

Note:

During engine warm-up, install the radiator cap only. Do not install reservoir tank cap.

4.

With the engine at operating temperature, refill the reservoir to the upper sight glass.

Note:

a.    If the coolant level does not fall during engine warm-up, there is approximately 200 to 300cc or air left in the engine.
Therefore, please pour coolant into reservoir tank up to the position 80 to 90 mm (3.25" - 3.50") from the top surface of reservoir
tank. After being driven and overnight soak, its level becomes as specified.

b.

Do not pour coolant into the plastic overflow tank.

5.

Tighten the cap of the reservoir tank, run the engine and confirm that the coolant does not leak.

6.

After confirming the coolant does not leak, install the air duct and engine undercovers.

7.

Reprogram the present radio stations.
