Install valve body attaching bolts in their proper locations, Figs. 5 and 6. Finger tighten bolts, then torque to 7 ft. lbs. Numbers in Figs. 5 and 6
indicate bolt lengths in mm.

Connect solenoid electrical connectors.

Install manual valve and body as follows: 

a. Align manual valve with pin on manual shift lever.

b. Install and finger tighten manual valve body with attaching bolts, Fig. 7. Numbers in figure indicate bolt lengths in mm.

Install detent spring, then torque attaching bolts to 7 ft. lbs.

Ensure manual valve lever is in contact with center of roller at tip of detent spring.

8.

Using plastic hammer, tap oil tubes in proper locations, being careful not to bend or damage oil tubes.

9.

Install apply tube bracket, then the oil strainer.

10.

Install magnet in pan, ensuring magnet does not interfere with oil tubes.

11.

Install oil pan with new gasket, torquing bolts to 43 inch lbs.

12.

Install drain plug with new gasket, torquing plug to 22 ft. lbs. on 1984 models, or 36 ft. lbs. on except 1984 models.

13.

Add transaxle fluid to specifications.
