Disassembly

    Before disassembling driveshaft, make sure there is no play in the inboard or outboard joints and that the inboard joint slides smoothly in
the thrust direction.

1.

Remove boot clamps, Fig. 15.

2.

Place matchmarks on inboard joint. Do not use sharp tool to place matchmarks on inboard joint.

3.

Remove inboard joint from driveshaft.

4.

On 161 series, remove snap ring, then place matchmarks on shaft and tripod. Remove joint from driveshaft using a hammer and suitable drift.
