Starter Motor: Service and Repair

1.

Obtain audio anti-theft code, if equipped, as outlined under Technician Safety Information.

2.

Remove air cleaner assembly, then disconnect the following:
a. IAT sensor connector.
b. Accelerator cable and cruise control actuator cable.
c. Vacuum hose from throttle body at air cleaner assembly hose.

3.

Disconnect engine wire clamp from transaxle.

4.

Remove starter motor attaching bolts and the starter motor.

5.

Reverse procedure to install. If audio system was disabled, activate as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
