INSTALLATION OF PIO/DIO CASSETTE OR CD PLAYERS ON 1992 MODEL RADIOS

1992 Model Year Radios (except 31801 and 76203) are designed to accomodate the installation of Port Installed Option (PIO)/Dealer Installed Option
(DIO) cassette or CD players.

NOTE:
When Installing a PIO/DIO cassette or CD player, the P/D switch on the cassette/ CD player must be in the "D" mode (see Illustration).

CAUTION.

If the switch is in the "P" mode, the audio system will malfunction, exhibiting one or more of the following conditions:

1)

No sound from the audio system but normal illumination.

2)

No sound from the PIO/DIO Cassette or CD (CD will spin/Cassette will run).

3)

PIO/DIO Cassette or CD sound mixes with sound of the radio.

Before changing the "P/D" switch, be sure to disconnect the PIO/DIO unit from the radio.

Be sure to check all radio, cassette and/or CD operations after installation.
