Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Recover refrigerant from refrigeration system.
2. Disconnect two liquid tubes from receiver.

NOTE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture out of the system.

3. Remove receiver from receiver holder.

INSTALLATION 

1. Install receiver in receiver holder.

NOTE: Do not remove the blind plugs until ready for connection.

2. Connect two liquid tubes to receiver

Torque: 13 Nm (10 ft lb)

3. If the receiver was replaced, add compressor oil to the compressor.

Additional oil: 20 cc (0.7 fl.oz) ND oil 6, Suniso No. 5GS or equivalent.

4. Evacuate air from air conditioning system.
5. Charge air conditioning system with refrigerant and check for gas leakage.

Refill capacity: 720 ± 50g (25.4 ± 1.8 oz)
