Fluid - A/T: Service and Repair
Fluid Drain & Refill
On all units, except A241H, use DEXRON II transaxle fluid. On A241H units, use ATF Type T or equivalent transaxle fluid.
1.
On all units, except A131L, drain transaxle fluid.
2.
On A131L units, using tool No. 09043-38100 or equivalent, remove drain plug and drain fluid.
3.
On all models, install drain plug and new gasket.
4.
Add fluid through filler tube. Do not overfill.
5.
On A131L units, drain and refill capacity is 2.6 US quarts.
6.
On A241E and A243L units, drain and refill capacity is 3.5 US quarts.
7.
On A240E, A240L, A241H, A241L and A244E units, drain and refill capacity is 3.3 US quarts.
8.
On all models, start engine, ensure smooth shift operation in all positions.
9.
With engine at idle, check fluid COOL level, fill as required.
10.
Allow vehicle to reach normal operating temperatures, then recheck level.
