Fuel Rail: Service and Repair

REMOVAL:

1. Remove the throttle body.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the EVAP BVSV.

3. Remove the EGR valve and vacuum modulator:

a. On California models, disconnect the EGR gas temperature sensor electrical connector
b. Remove the two vacuum hoses from the EGR VSV and the vacuum hose from the charcoal canister
c. Disconnect the vacuum hose clamp
d. Loosen the union nut of the EGR pipe, and remove the two nuts, the EGR valve, vacuum modulator, vacuum hose assembly and the gasket

4. Disconnect the vacuum sensor hose from the air intake  chamber.

5. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose from the air intake chamber.
