Ignition Lock Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
1. Inspect key interlock solenoid.
a. Disconnect the solenoid connector.
b. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.
Standard resistance: 12.5-16.5 Ohms

If resistance value is not as specified, replace the solenoid.
c. Apply the battery positive voltage between the terminals. Check that an operation noise can be heard from the solenoid. If the solenoid does
not operated, replace the solenoid.
