NOTICE:

Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage the SST.

When holding the shock absorber with the coil spring removed, do not hold it by the spring lower seat. Also, do not knock the spring lower
seat.

c. Using SST to hold the suspension support, remove the nut.

d. Remove the suspension support.
e. Remove the bearing.
f.

Remove the upper spring seat.

g. Remove the upper coil spring insulator.
h. Remove the coil spring.
i.

Remove the dust cover.

j.

Remove the spring bumper.

k. Remove the lower coil spring insulator.

NOTICE:  When removing or installing the shock absorber, if the bearing becomes separated in any way, it must be replaced by a  new
bearing.

INSPECTION

INSPECT SHOCK ABSORBER

Compress and extend the shock absorber rod and check that, there is no abnormal resistance or unusual operation sound.
If there is any abnormality, replace the shock absorber with a new one.

NOTICE:  When discarding the shock absorber, see DISPOSAL.

DISPOSAL 

1. FULLY EXTEND SHOCK ABSORBER ROD 
2. DRILL HOLE TO DISCHARGE GAS FROM CYLINDER 

Using a drill, make a hole in the cylinder, as shown to discharge the gas inside. 

CAUTION:  The gas discharging is harmless, but be careful of chip which may fly up when drilling.
