a. Install the rotor to the vane pump shaft with the inscribed mark facing outward.
b. Install a new snap ring to the vane pump shaft.
5. Install a new longer straight pin to the front housing.
6. Install the vane pump shaft with the vane pump rotor and the side front plate after doing these procedures.
a. To prevent oil seal lip damage, wind vinyl tape on the shaft.
b. Align the hole of the plate and longer straight pin, and tap in the shaft with a plastic hammer.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the oil seal and O-rings.
7. Install the cam ring by aligning the holes of the ring and two straight pins, and install the ring with the inscribed mark facing outward.
8. Install the 10 plates with the round end facing outward.
9. Install the side rear plate.
a. Coat a new O-ring with power steering fluid and install it to the plate.
b. Align the holes of the plate and the two straight pins.
