2. Using the 09727 - 30021 SST, compress the coil spring.
NOTE: Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage the SST.
3. Using the 09729 - 22031 SST to hold the suspension support, remove the nut.
4. Remove these parts from the shock absorber, the collar and suspension support, the coil spring, the dust cover and spring bumper and the lower
insulator.
ASSEMBLY
1. Install the lower coil spring insulator onto the shock absorber, taking care to fit the gap of the lower coil spring insulator.
2. Install the spring bumper to the piston rod
3. Install the coil spring by doing the following.
a. Using the 09727 - 30021 SST, compress the coil spring.
NOTE: Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage the SST.
b. Install the coil spring to the shock absorber, taking care to fit the lower end of the coil spring into the gap of the lower coil spring insulator.
4. Install the dust cover and the suspension support using these steps.
a. Install the dust cover and suspension support to the piston rod.
b. Install the collar.
c. Using the 09729 - 22031 Special Service Tool (SST) to hold the suspension support, install a new nut, tightening it to 49 Nm (36 ft. lbs.).
