With the help of an assistant, carefully position a straightedge across the top stack at the front rail. The straightedge must be on the highest
part of the front rail as shown in Figure 6.

Measure straight down from the straightedge to the top inner edge of the quarter belt molding and record the figure (see Figure 7). Repeat
for the other side.

Specification: 122-124 mm (4.8-4.88 in.)

If the dimension is within specification no further action is required.

If the dimension is not within specification, the down stop must be adjusted. Raise the top stack and adjust as necessary, and recheck
height.

Torque: 12-16 N.m (106-142 lb.in.)

Inspect the convertible top and window function.

Cycle the convertible top to verify operation and ensure dowel pin receiver alignment is correct. Refer to the appropriate Toyota Service
Manual (Publication No. RM426U) if adjustments are necessary.

Cycle both door and quarter windows, with the convertible top in both the down and up positions, to verify the operation is correct.
