Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair
Removal/Installation

1.

Obtain audio anti-theft code, if equipped, as outlined in Technician Safety Information.

2.

On models equipped with air bag, pull wheel pad out from steering wheel and disconnect air bag connector. When removing wheel pad, take care
not to pull air bag wire harness. When storing wheel pad, keep upper surface of the pad facing upward. Never disassemble wheel pad.

3.

On all models, remove horn button screws and horn button.

4.

Scribe alignment marks on steering wheel and steering shaft.

5.

Remove steering wheel nut.

6.

Using a steering wheel puller, remove steering wheel.

7.

Remove steering column upper and lower covers.

8.

Remove combination switch.

9.

Reverse procedure to install. Reset audio coded anti-theft, if equipped, as outlined in Technician Safety Information.
