EGR Valve: Service and Repair

Components For Egr Valve Removal And Installation

EGR VALVE REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT THROTTLE BODY FROM AIR INTAKE CHAMBER.

-

Refer to Throttle Body / Service and Repair.

2. REMOVE ENGINE HANGER, AIR INTAKE CHAMBER STAY AND EGR VACUUM MODULATOR.

Disconnect the EGR hose and vacuum hose from the EGR valve.

-

Disconnect the high-tension cord clamp from the engine hanger.

-

Remove the 2 bolts, and disconnect the air pipe and fuel inlet hose.

-

Remove the nut, engine hanger, air intake chamber stay, EGR vacuum modulator and gasket.

3. REMOVE EGR VALVE AND PIPE.
