Fuel Pump Relay - Checking Continuity
Inspect Relay Continuity
- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals 2 and 4.
- Check that there is continuity between terminals 1 and 4.
- Check that there is no continuity between terminals 3 and 4.
- If continuity is not as specified, replace the relay.
Fuel Pump Relay - Checking Operation
Inspect Relay Operation
- Apply battery voltage across terminals 2 and 4.
- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between terminals 1 and 4.
- Check that there is continuity between terminals 3 and 4.
- If operation is not as specified, replace the relay.
Fuel Pump Resistor - Checking Resitance
Inspect Fuel Pump Resistor
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.
Resistance: Approx. 0.73 ohms
- If the resistance is not as specified, replace the resistor.
