Intake Air Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The intake air temperature sensormeasures the temperature of incoming intake (ambient) air, so the ECU can adjust injection duration. This aids
with improvement in fuel atomization and decreases carbonizing within the engine.
LOCATION
Mounted in the airflow meter.

OPERATION
The THA inputs the ECU through terminal THA.
