Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair

ON-VEHICLE REPAIR

1. REMOVE LH AND RH DRIVE SHAFTS

2. REMOVE BOTH SIDE GEAR SHAFT OIL SEALS

Using Special Service Tool (SST), drive out the oil seals on both sides.
SST 09308 - 00010

3. INSTALL BOTH SIDE GEAR SHAFT OIL SEALS

a. Using SST and a hammer, drive in new oil seals on both sides. 

SST 09350 - 32014 (09351 - 32150), 09950 -70010 (09950- 07100) 

Oil seal depth: 
LH 2.7 ± 0.5 mm (0.106 ± 0.020 inch) 
RH 0 ± 0.5 mm (0 ± 0.020 inch)

b. Coat the lip of the oil seal with Multipurpose (MP) grease.

4. INSTALL LH AND RH DRIVE SHAFTS
5. CHECK ATF AND CHECK FLUID LEVEL
