Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
On sedan and station wagon models, remove instrument cluster finish panel, Fig. 9, lower finish garnish, upper and lower steering column covers.
During removal of instrument cluster finish panel, do not bend the lower pawls.
3.
On hardtop, coupe and liftback models, remove light control rheostat knob and instrument cluster finish panel.
4.
Disconnect electrical connector from ignition switch.
5.
Turn ignition key to ACC position, then remove screw and ignition switch.
6.
Reverse procedure to install.
