Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair
Removal

BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR (w/ VSC): REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system    See: Restraint

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Power Seat)   See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front

4. REMOVE OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Manual Seat)   See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front

6. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Manual Seat)   See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front

9. REMOVE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate and acceleration sensor bracket.

(b) Disconnect the connector and clamp from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor.

NOTICE:
Do not remove the installation nuts.
