Throttle Body: Service and Repair
Removal

2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE

(a) Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.

(b) Separate the 2 wire harness clamps.

(c) Disconnect the No. 1 vacuum switching valve connector and the 2 vacuum hoses.

(d) Disconnect the ventilation hose.

(e) Loosen the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp, release the 3 air cleaner assembly clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with No. 1

hose.

4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses.
