Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Installation

2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL: CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CRANK POSITION SENSOR

(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring on the crank position sensor.

(b) Install the crank position sensor with the bolt.

Torque : 9.0 Nm (90 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)

NOTICE:
Do not twist the O-ring.

(c) Install the wire harness and crank position sensor connector clamp.

(d) Connect the crank position sensor connector.

2. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY   See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

3. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and

Repair/Installation

4. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL   See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and

Repair/Installation

6. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
