Fuel Gauge Sender: Service and Repair
Removal

2AZ-FE FUEL: FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE   See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION TUBE ASSEMBLY WITH PUMP AND GAUGE

(a) Remove the fuel suction tube assembly with pump and gauge from the fuel tank    See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air

Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal.

4. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the wire harness.

(b) Release the lock and slide the fuel sender gauge assembly to remove it.

NOTICE:
Make sure that the fuel sender gauge arm does not bend.
