Removal

2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL: ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE   See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle

Body/Service and Repair/Removal

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

5. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

(b) Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor and gasket.
