Valve Body: Testing and Inspection

U250E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL3

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(b) If the value is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve SL3.

(c) Connect a positive (+) battery lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and a negative (-) battery lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector,

then check the operation of the valve.

OK:

The solenoid valve makes an operating sound.

(d) If the result is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve SL3.

2. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLT

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
