IV. Air Bag Sensor Assembly (Computer) Replacement Procedures

CAUTION: 

Work must be started AFTER 90 seconds from the time the ignition switch is turned to the "Lock" position and the negative (-) terminal cable is
disconnected from the battery. The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source so that if work is started within 90 seconds of disconnecting the
negative (-) terminal cable of the battery, the SRS may be deployed.

Disconnect negative (-) terminal cable from the battery.

NOTE:

Before disconnecting the battery, record the preset radio stations.

CAUTION: 

Work must be started AFTER 90 seconds from the time the ignition switch is turned to the "Lock" position and the negative (-) terminal cable is
disconnected from the battery.

Remove the console box.

Remove the following parts:

For A/T: Shift hole bezel.

For M/T: Shift lever knob and shift hole cover.

NOTE:

Remove clips on the rear side of the shift hole cover first, then remove the shift hole cover.
