c. - TOYOTA Type: Bend the clamp and lock it.
- SAGINAW Type: Place 2 new boot clamps to the inboard joint boot.
d. Bend the band and lock it with a screwdriver.
e. Holding the clamp near the closing hooks, using pliers, position the holes in the clamp's free end over the closing hooks.
f.
Secure clamps by drawing the closing hooks together.
g. Secure the clamp onto the boot.
h. Place SST 09521 - 24010 onto the clamp.
i.
Tighten the SST so that the clamp is pinched.
CAUTION: Do not overtighten the SST.
j.
Using SST 09240 - 00020, adjust the clearance of the clamp.
Clearance: 1.9 mm (0.075 inch) or less.
8. Assemble damper clamp (RH drive shaft)
a. Make sure the damper is on the shaft groove.
b. Set the distance.
Distance
TOYOTA: 431.B ± 5.0 mm (16.992 ± 0.197 inch).
SAGINAW: 421.3 ± 3.0 mm (16.586 ± 0.118 inch).
c. Place a new damper clamp to the damper.
d. Bend the band and lock it with a screwdriver.
