To reduce speedometer cable noise, usually heard coming from the instrument cluster, a band clamp (tie) has been installed to secure the speedometer
cable to the heater hose as illustrated below (see production change information on page 2)..

SERVICE HINTS

Field Fix Procedure

A nylon tie can be used to secure the speedometer cable to the existing heater hose only if adequate protection is provided for the heater hose by first
wrapping it with some appropriate plastic material.
