(a)

Disconnect the switch connector.

(b)

Connect an ohmmeter to the switch connector terminal and the carburetor body.

(c)

Slowly raise the engine rpm.

(d)

Check the throttle position switch setting speed when the ohmmeter shows continuity.

If not at the specified speed of 1800 rpm, adjust setting by turning the throttle position switch adjusting screw.

ADJUST THROTTLE POSITIONER (TP) SETTING SPEED

(a)

Disconnect the vacuum hose from TP diaphragm A.

(b)

Check that the TP is set at 800 rpm on the 1st stop (electrical load idle up).

If not at specified speed, adjust with the TP adjusting screw.

NOTE:

Make adjustment with the cooling fan OFF.
(c)

Reconnect the vacuum hose to diaphragm A.
