Oil Pan: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Raise and support vehicle.

3.

Remove engine under cover.

4.

Drain oil from engine.

5.

Using a suitable hoist, raise engine slightly.

6.

Remove drive belt and pulley.

7.

Remove power steering pump, if equipped and position aside.

8.

Remove No. 2 timing belt cover.

9.

Position No. 1 cylinder to TDC of compression stroke.

10.

Remove crankshaft pulley.

11.

Remove No. 1 timing belt cover and belt guide.

12.

Remove right engine mount and bracket assembly.

13.

Remove timing belt.

14.

Remove No. 2 idler pulley and crankshaft timing sprocket.

15.

Remove oil pan attaching bolts, then the pan.

16.

Remove oil pump assembly.

17.

Reverse procedure to install.
