Condition:

Improper Routing of the Air Conditioner Liquid Tube (P/N 88716-12700) on rear-wheel drive Corolla (AE86)

Cause:

If the liquid tube is not properly routed during the Air Conditioner installation the liquid tube may contact components in the engine
compartment causing premature wear of the liquid tube.

LIQUID LINE TUBE

Correction:

Route the A/C Liquid Tube through the engine compartment, making sure the liquid tube is secure with no sharp bends and does not
contact any hot, sharp or moving parts in the engine compartment.

Caution:

The liquid line tube should be routed so that it does not interfere with surrounding components.
