Impact Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

NOTICE:

If the wiring connector of the SRS is disconnected with the ignition switch in ON or ACC position, DTCs will be recorded.

^

Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace them with new ones.

^

Never reuse the sensor involved in a collision when the SRS has deployed.

^

Never repair a sensor in order to reuse it.

1. LH:

REMOVE FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR
a. Remove the LH engine under cover.
b. Disconnect the connector.

c. Remove the 2 bolts and front airbag sensor.

2. RH:

REMOVE FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR
a. Remove the RH front turn signal light.
b. Remove the RH headlight.
c. Disconnect the connector.

d. Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and front airbag sensor.
