Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Rear Speed Sensor Components
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the Speed Sensor connector.
(a) Remove the seat cushion and seat back.
(b) Except sedan: Remove the quarter trim panel.
Disconnecting Speed Sensor Connector
(c) Disconnect the Speed Sensor connector, and pull out the sensor wire harness with the grommet.
(d) Remove the 2 clamp bolts holding the sensor wire harness to the body and suspension Shock Absorber.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (49 inch lbs.)
2. Remove Speed Sensor.
Removing Speed Sensor From Axle Carrier
Remove the Speed Sensor from the Axle Carrier.
Torque: 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.)
3. If necessary, remove Rear Axle Hub.
Torque: 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.)
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
