Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
REPLACEMENT
1. Remove engine under cover.
2. Remove Left Hand (LH) and Right Hand (RH) drive shafts.
3. Remove LH and RH oil seals. Using Special Service Tool (SST) 09308-00010 or equivalent, pull out the oil seals.
4. Install LH and RH oil seals, as follows:
a. Using SST 9350-32014 (09351-32150, 09351-32130) or equivalents, drive in new oil seals until its surface is flush with the LH and RH side
case surface.
Oil seal drive in depth: 0 +/- 0.5 mm (0 +/- 0.020 inch).
b. Coat the lip of LH and RH oil seal with Multi-Purpose (MP) grease.
5. Install LH and RH drive shafts.
6. Fill and check fluid level.
7. Install engine under cover.
