Wiper and Washer Switch: Testing and Inspection
Intermittent Wiper Operation
Inspect Intermittent Wiper Operation
1. Turn the wiper switch to INT position.
2. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 18 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 16.
3. Connect the positive (+) lead from the voltmeter to terminal 13 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 16, and check that the meter needle indicates
battery positive voltage.
4. After connecting terminal 4 to terminal 16, connect to terminal 4 and terminal 18.
Then, check that the voltage rises from 0 V to battery positive voltage within the times, as shown in the table.
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.
