Seal Packing Area

2. Apply seal packing (part #08826-00080 or equivalent) to the cylinder head in the shaded areas in the illustration.

3. Place the bearing caps on each journal with the arrows pointing toward the front as shown.

4. Gradually torque each bearing cap bolt a little at a time in the sequence shown. 

Torque to 13 Nm (9 ft.lbs)

5. Apply MP grease to the oil seal lip.

Front Seal Installation

6. Using SST #09223-46011 or equivalent, carefully drive the front oil seal in evenly.
