On page MA-10 of the 1988 1/2 Corolla Repair Manual item 24 REPLACE REAR DIFFERENTIAL OIL, the fluid type is incorrect. The manual reads:
Differential oil
Fluid: ATF DEXRON(R) II
Capacity: 1.1 liters (1.2 US qts. 0.97 Imp. qts.)
The manual should read:
Differential oil
Fluid: API GL-5 hypoid gear oil
Capacity: 1.1 liter (1.2 US qts. 0.97 Imp. qts.)
