1.

Disconnect electrical connector and measure resistance between cold start injector terminals. If resistance is not 3-5 ohms on 3S-GE, 4A-GE,
4A-GEC, 4A-GEL, 4A-GELC, 4Y-EC and 5M-GE engines or 2-4 ohms on 2S-E, 3S-FE, 22R-E, 22R-TE, 7M-GE and 7M-GTE engines, injector
is defective.

Remove cold start injector from manifold.

Connect injector to fuel line using adapter hose 09268-41045 and connect adapter harness 09842-30050 or equivalent to injector terminals,Fig. 30

4.

Position injector as far away from battery as possible, with nozzle in a suitable container.

Turn ignition on but do not start engine, then short fuel pump check connector with a suitable jumper wireFig. 00

6.

Apply battery voltage to injector with adapter harness while observing spray pattern. Fuel should issue in even conical pattern from injector
port(s).

7.

Disconnect battery voltage while observing injector. Less than one drop of fuel should issue from injector per minute.

8.

Turn off ignition, remove jumper wires and adapters, and replace injector as needed.
