Throttle Position Sensor: Adjustments
TPS Adjustment
1.
Remove throttle body, refer to FUEL SUPPLY AND AIR INDUCTION.
2.
Loosen TPS mounting screws.
TPS Adjustment
3.
Connect ohmmeter across TPS terminals IDL and E2.
4.
California only: Apply vacuum to throttle opener diaphragm.
5.
Insert a 0.028 in. (0.70 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stop screw and stop lever.
TPS Adjustment
6.
Gradually turn TPS until ohmmeter reading changes.
7.
Tighten TPS screws.
8.
Reinstall throttle body.
