Door Locks: Testing and Inspection
FRONT DOOR SIDE
Door Lock Solenoid Operation (Front Door Side)
1.
Connect battery positive to terminal 3 and negative to terminal 4. Check that solenoid operates in lock direction.
2.
Check that there is no continuity between terminals 1 and 2.
3.
Switch battery connections. Check that solenoid operates in unlock direction.
4.
Check that there is continuity between terminals 1 and 2.
5.
If not as specified, replace solenoid.
REAR DOOR SIDE
Door Lock Solenoid Operation (Rear Door Side)
1.
Connect battery positive to terminal 4 and negative to terminal 3. Check that solenoid operates in lock direction.
2.
Check that there is no continuity between terminals 1 and 2.
3.
Switch battery connections. Check that solenoid operates in unlock direction.
4.
Check that there is continuity between terminals 1 and 2.
5.
If not as specified, replace solenoid.
