Oil Pan: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain engine oil and coolant.

2.

Remove air cleaner case, then the air connector pipe and hoses.

3.

Remove oil level dipstick, then disconnect upper radiator hose.

4.

Loosen fan belts, then remove four fan shroud attaching bolts.

5.

Remove fluid coupling flange attaching bolts, then the fluid coupling and fan shroud as an assembly.

6.

Raise and support vehicle, then remove engine under cover.

7.

Remove exhaust pipe clamp bolt, then the two stiffener plates.

8.

Remove flywheel housing under cover, then the four motor mount attaching bolts from both sides of engine.

9.

Remove oil pan attaching bolts, then the oil pan using a suitable tool. Use caution not to damage oil pan flange.

10.

Remove oil pump outlet pipe union bolt and nut, then the oil pump outlet pipe.

11.

Remove oil pump attaching bolts, then the oil pump assembly.

12.

Reverse procedure to install.
