Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Disconnect all electrical connectors, hoses, cables, fuel lines and electrical equipment that will interfere with removal of air intake chamber.

3.

Ensure the following are removed or disconnected:
a. TPS and ISC connector.
b. BVSV and EGR hoses from throttle body.
c. Pressure regulator and PS hoses.
d. ISC and bypass hoses.
e. Manifold stay and cold start injector tube.
f.

EGR vacuum modulator.

4.

Remove vacuum transmitting pipe retaining bolt to No. 2 fuel pipe stay.

5.

Remove air intake chamber attaching nuts and bolts, then the air intake chamber and gasket.

6.

Remove fuel pipes.

7.

Remove delivery pipes with injectors if necessary.

8.

Remove intake manifold attaching bolts, then intake manifold and gasket.

9.

Reverse procedure to install. Torque to specifications.
