2. Inspect idler pulley

Check that the idler pulley turns smoothly. If necessary, replace the idler pulley.

3. Inspect tension spring

Check the free length of the spring.

Free length: 69 mm (2.72 in.) 

If not as specified, replace the spring.

INSTALLATION OF TIMING BELT  

1. Install oil pump drive pulley

Using a screwdriver to hold the pulley, Install and torque the pulley bolt.

Torque: 22 N-m (220 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lb) 

2. Install crankshaft timing pulley

Using SST and a hammer, tap in the pulley.
