Introduction

Some customers may complain of an uneven gap between the front skid plate and front bumper fascia. An adjustment kit is now available to establish an
even gap between the skid plate and front bumper fascia. If the gap between the right and left side of the skid plate and front bumper fascia is less than 3
mm (0.12 in.), then no adjustment is required. The following procedure should be used ONLY if you are unable to obtain a gap of less than 3 mm from
the skid plate adjustment during installation.

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Measure and record the gap of the skid plate to the bumper fascia.
