Remove the skid plate outer mounting hardware (6 places) and remove the skid plate from the vehicle as shown below.

Remove the upper skid plate bracket mounting hardware on the side with the smallest gap. Discard the bolt.

Using the table below as a guide, insert washer shims between the bracket top face and the vehicle mount face, as shown in the illustration below.

5.

Install the supplied mounting bolt through the bracket, washers, and into the vehicle (hand tight).

6.

Install the skid plate in the opposite order of removal.

7.

Torque all hardware to the following specifications.

Torque: 24 N.m (249 kgf.cm, 18 ft.lbf)

Re-check the gap between the skid plate and bumper fascia, and add additional washer shims if needed.
