Introduction

The accessory roof rack for the FJ Cruiser may exhibit a rattle noise caused by the cross bar clamp assembly. The cross bar screw shoulders bottom out
before the screws become snug, which causes a gap between the cross bars and the screw heads. If a customer complains of a rattle in the roof rack,
verify the rattle is coming from the cross bar clamp assembly before completing this Repair Procedure.

A washer kit was created for the field-fix and the permanent countermeasure has been implemented.

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.
