Repair Procedure
1.
Conduct a road test to confirm the noise condition. The noise typically occurs when driving in reverse and applying the brake pedal.
2.
Remove the front brake pads and front rotors.
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS):

2007 or 2008 model year FJ Cruiser Repair Manual Brake - Brake (front) - "Brake: Front Brake: Removal".
3.
Apply NEW grease on the brake pads as shown in red in Figure 1.
4.
Apply grease to the brake caliper as shown in red in Figure 2.
5.
Reuse the front brake pads and install the NEW front rotor.
